Quest 88 Tricycles

Quest 88 Kitten

kitten1kitten2 The Kitten is the smallest of the Quest 88 tricycles and will suit children from approximately 2 to 5 years of age (age based on clothing sizes).This is a fixed drive tricycle. In simple terms this means that when the pedals rotate the drive wheel rotates and visa-versa. This creates added momentum that assists with pedalling, which is beneficial to children with low muscle tone and strength.The Kitten can be fitted with a number of accessories, which include: hip and thoracic supports, footplate (sandals), ankle foot orthoses, chest pad, steering solutions, various handlebar styles and head supports. The key datum points on Quest 88 tricycles are critical and give the rider the ability to maintain a good posture and an efficient pedalling action. Quest 88 tricycles can be separated into 3 parts for storage and transportation. The maximum weight limit for the Kitten is 25Kg. The tricycle in its basic form weighs 21Kg. Additional accessories will increase the weight of the tricycle. Frame Colour Options are: Blue, Red, Pink, Purple


Quest 88 Colt / Carousel

coltcarosel The Colt and Carousel are our most popular fixed wheel tricycles and combines just the right mix of: frame weight (for safety); positioining that promotes good posture; and gearing which delivers meaningful exercise.The Colt and Carousel are suitable for children from approximately 4 to 7 years of age (ages based on clothing sizes).The Colt and Carousel are fixed drive tricycles. In simple terms this means that as the pedals rotate the drive wheel rotates and visa-versa. This creates added momentum which assists pedalling and is beneficial to children with low muscle tone and strength; ideal for children with Cerebral Palsy. Accessories include: hip and thoracic supports, footplate (sandals), ankle foot orthoses, chest pad, steering solutions, various handlebar styles and head pad. The key datum points on Quest 88 tricycles are critical and give the rider the ability to maintain a good posture and an efficient pedalling action. Quest 88 tricycles can be separated into 3 parts for storage and transportation. The maximum weight limit for the Colt and Carousel is 45Kg. The tricycle in its basic form weighs 28Kg (10kg front end, 18kg rear). Additional accessories will increase the weight of the tricycle. The Colt is available is several colours, the Carousel is available in Purple or Pink. Both can be accessorised with our fun range of wheel covers. Quest 88 Panther

panther1panther2 The Panther is the largest tricycle in our Quest 88 brand range and it is suitable for children from approximately 7 to 12 years of age (ages based on clothing sizes)The Panther is a fixed drive tricycle. In simple terms this means that as the pedals rotate the drive wheel rotates and visa-versa. This creates added momentum which assists pedalling and is beneficial to children with low muscle tone and strength; an ideal tricycle for children with Hypotonia, Cerebral Palsy (Spastic Diplegia).Accessories include: hip and thoracic supports, footplate (sandals), ankle foot orthoses, chest pad, steering solutions, various handlebar styles and head supports. The key datum points on Quest 88 tricycles are critical and give the rider the ability to maintain a good posture and an efficient pedalling action. Quest 88 tricycles can be separated into 3 parts for storage and transportation. The maximum weight limit for the Panther is 65Kg. The tricycle in its basic form weighs 35Kg (15kg front end, 20kg rear). Additional accessories will increase the weight of the tricycle. Neon (16 & 20” wheel)

neon01 neon2 The Neon tricycle is a reliable and stable choice for children aged 4 to 14 Years (accross 2 frame sizes, ages based on clothing sizes).In a similar way to the Eclipse (larger model), it can be adapted with support accessories to accommodate different abilities.The Neon has a low centre of gravity and a low, stable riding position. Available in two sizes, The 16″ wheel neon can be upgraded at a later stage using telescopic tubes, larger forks and wheels, therefore prolonging the tricycles useful life. It is also possible to install an electronic hub motor with pedal sensors; which can assist children with less strength (Ideal for children with Muscular Dystrophy). Support accessories include: rear parental steering system, back supports, footplates and splints to control the child’s ankle/foot relationship. The Neon features front v brakes, rear drum brake, twist grip gear selection and fixed or freewheel pedalling options. Laser (16, 20 & 22″ Wheel)

laserThe Laser is a two wheel bicycle with a dynamic stabiliser system, allowing the child to explore and develop their balance reactions in a safe way. Three frame/wheels sizes cover an overall age range from 4 to 14 years (ages based on clothing sizes).The Laser is also a suitable choice for those children who may progress to riding a mainstream bicycle as they get older. The Laser bicycle has an extendable frame which through upgrade packs can be used for a number of years.The maximum user weight ranges from 60-90Kg. The Laser can be upgraded with an electronic hub motor and pedal sensors to assist children with very low muscle tone. Support accessories include back supports, footplates and splints to control the child’s ankle/foot relationship. The Laser features front V brakes and a rear drum brake, twist grip gear selection and fixed or freewheel pedalling options. Eclipse (20” wheel)

This tricycle is fitted with a differential to make cornering even safer.The Eclipse can be adapted with an array of support accessories to accommodate those with moderate to severe physical disabilities. The Eclipse is also a great tricycle for cycling projects because of its sturdy construction and low maintenance design. The “Switchable Gear” option offers a freewheel drive and fixed wheel drive in one tricycle which is ideal for cycle training for those who have difficulty in pedalling forwards.It is possible to install an electronic hub motor with pedal sensors which can assist children with less strength. Support accessories include: back supports, footplates and splints to control the child’s ankle/foot relationship. Shopi Folding T Cycle

shopiThe Shopi tricycle follows the T bike principle and has two wheels at the front and one at the rear of the vehicle.Whilst this may look unusual it has several benefits for the rider. Firstly, having the full width of the vehicle within your vision helps with spatial awareness. Second, the T bike design has enabled Draisin to create a unique folding system at the front of the bike to make storage much simpler.The Shopi is ideal for those with significant balance impairment or those who lack confidence on a two-wheel bicycle. Twister

twisterThe Twister is designed to enable its riders to cycle side by side in a semi-recumbent position. Both riders can fully participate in pedalling and steering, however the Twister can be quickly adjusted so that one rider can opt out of pedalling and rest.The Twister is ideal for riders with special needs, enabling them to enjoy the outdoors whilst conversing with their friends and receiving encouragement whilst riding.The manual version of the Twister is ideal for use on relatively flat terrain and is a popular choice for community cycling initiatives. The Twister can be fitted with an electric for hilly environments. The Twister is equipped with two front handlebars which can be retracted when the riders are mounting or dismounting the tricycle. The seat depth and position can be adjusted to accommodate growth and a range of different user sizes. The Twister has a combined max user weight (rider & passenger)of 200Kg. Draisin Plus

This tricycle is carefully balanced in order to make steering and pedalling as easy as possible and it’s suspension system makes it supremely comfortable.The wheelchair unit can be simply disconnected from the drive section of the tricycle for popping into cafes etc. The Draisin Plus has 7 forward gears and can be pedalled backwards for easy manouvering.
